Updates - Part 2

18 Nov

We came home earlier than usual and cycled to Whisk and Paddle for our dinner.

I had a delicious crabmeat pasta and a beer. Hubby had fish n chips which is not up to standard.

And Rachael... She played with my food and had some fries.

After that we cycled home and let her played at the playground.

21 Nov

We met up our "long lost" friends for lunch.

It's a sad thing that our whole big gang are only left with just the few of us.

After that we went to church. I brought Rachael to the usual below 24 months room to play with her car first. Surprised to only see two other kids inside. So after playing for a while.

She stayed longer in the 2 YO room that day. I kept diverting her attention when she wanted to get out.

She could actually sat there singing and listening to Bible stories. However, the minute I moved away from her, she got up. So I could never get a picture of her paying attention in church.

She enjoyed the art and craft lesson too!

She could follow instructions to get things from the teacher, get only 1 crayon at a time, submit her work to her teacher. Look at how focused she was! I think she's ready for school.

After this art and craft session, she couldn't take it anymore. I brought her to nursing room to nurse her and again, she fell asleep. I guess this will be her pattern now.

Nothing much... Just want to post this photo because of her beautiful smile.

Updates - Part 1

8 Nov

We brought Rachael to Kallang Wave for water play. It wasn't pleasant in the beginning. Rachael refused to stay in the restaurant with us for lunch... After lunch, it started to drizzle. Water play area was closed because of lightning risk.

Thank God the rain didn't last long... Rachael still get to play! God is good!

9 Nov

We went IKEA for dinner with Chris and Raymond. Rachael wanted to play in the play area but she's afraid to go in alone...

But I still managed to get her to go in while I wait outside. The boy in striped shirt kept wanting to play with her. Oh well! That's not anything new. Kids just got attracted to her.

And this cheeky girl loves to lie down on every bed she sees!!!

10 Nov

We cycled out to Anchorvale CC for lunch. Surprised to know that only the chicken rice stall was opened.

On the way back, we stopped at a playground for Rachael to play.

I love to see her wearing like this. She looks so cute in sleeveless, short shorts and two ponytails!

This playground is quite different.

And we ended the fun filled day with ICE-CREAM!!

11 Nov

SIL was home and helped to take care of our cranky girl. The girls did art together!

Love this shot of her! I think she did a good job! Don't you think so?

14 Nov

This is the first time Rachael went to a 2 YO group for church activities. I was told the first 45min was just free play. Rachael was shocked not to see her usual car.

The slide was the only thing that kept her in the room. She kept wanting to get out of the room.

And she requested for milk but didn't finish it. Look at her sweet smile! Nowadays, she will smile like this whenever I said "Show your teeth, smile!"

And she didn't manage to stay till the activities started. Insisted she wanted to get out of the room. And so we did. We went to the usual under 24months room.

And played with her favorite CAR!

After playing, she was too tired and wanted to latch to sleep. And we moved on to room one for nursing mothers.

15 Nov

We went to Punggol Promenade for lunch. Look at that sweet smile! We spent $99 for lunch! Unbelievable. Guess we will not be there again.

She played at the playground there. See the two kids behind? They stopped Rachael from playing and the mum said nothing... So, we left!

Night time was dinner with the Yeoh's! Daddy was happy to be carrying his two precious granddaughter!

I shall end part 1 here before it gets too long to be read.

Day out to the zoo!

My brother and SIL was on leave yesterday (2 Nov) and decided to bring the kids, including Rachael, to the zoo!

We were thankful to them. It's not easy going out with 4 kids!! My mum helped a lot too!

Feeling excited, I decided to join them after my work and I was glad that I did.

As usual, it's not easy to capture Rachael's photo with an animal... Not even if the animal is a fake one.

Chloe had fun though...

SIL said Rachael walked the whole morning till she saw me and wanted me to carry her.

And Charis was too lazy to come down and walk... So my mum suggested this...

And I must say, seemed like every time we go to the zoo, it will rain heavily. The first time we went with hubby, it poured when we were at the kids' zone. The same thing happened again yesterday... At the same place...

And my SIL said the last time she went to the zoo with the kids, it rained too!! What luck??!!

So we were stuck there after the animal show and Chloe and Rachael got to pat the dogs. Charis was too scared to leave her daddy's back.

It was a very tiring day because the rain didn't stop and I had to carry Rachael all the way back to the entrance of zoo to take a cab back. As I'm typing now, my arms are still aching. Nevertheless, spending time with my loved ones is precious and all worth it!

As she missed her nap, she fell asleep in the cab when we were about to reach Aljunied.

Totally knocked out and refused to eat because we woke her up abruptly. But she finished the porridge that mum cooked for her when we got back our own home.

Thank God for the day!
